Is ET a malicious hacker?

As if we didn’t have enough to worry about. Now, scientists are warning us about malicious hackers from outer space.

As if spotty teenagers releasing computer viruses on to the internet from darkened rooms were not enough of a headache.

According to a scientific report, planet Earth's computers are wide open to a virus attack from Little Green Men.

Human body mistaken for a roadkill deer

It was not a roadkill deer. It was the body of a man in his 30’s wearing light tan clothing.

Motorists passed him by thinking it was the body of a deer lying by the road.

State police in Venango County, Pennsylvania are not exactly how he died, although authorities believe it is most likely he was hit by a passing vehicle sometime as early as Friday.

12 satellite dishes gets 5,000 channels

A man in Beckley, West Virginia gets over 5,000 TV and radio stations with the dozen satellite dishes plastered on his front porch.

Since 1998, the Beckley resident has amassed a collection of 12 dishes around his James Street home.

He said he first just began subscribing to Direct TV and Dish Network, but he later learned that by purchasing special satellite receivers he could receive “free to air” programming from several different satellites swirling the globe.

The information on how to adjust a dish and set up a receiver to pick up programming from these stations such as Galaxy 10, AMC 2 and Telestar 5 is included with these receivers.

The 54-year-old disabled former ice cream salesman has collected more and more dishes so he could pick up more and more “free to air” channels.

He has become obsessed by all the free stuff “up there in the sky.”

The last time he counted, he received more than 5,000 channels. He has stopped counting since.

Did KU football save Gary Barnett’s job?

After an embarrassing loss to Iowa State followed by a humiliating loss to Nebraska, many thought head coach Gary Barnett’s job was on the line.

That is until Kansas upset Iowa State, allowing the Colorado Buffalo’s to “back into” the Big 12 North title.

How can you fire a head coach who is about to play in the Big 12 Championship game? You can’t.

How will the Buffs do in the championship game against the Texas Longhorns?

Last year Texas blew out Colorado 41-17. Will this be any different? Probably not - Texas is favored by 27 points.

That paves the way for Colorado to lose its last three games.

Maybe Colorado will be lucky enough to play a cream puff team in a bowl game.

A close bowl game win may not save his job.

Turkey fryer burns down another house

A turkey fryer is being blamed for a large fire that tore through a home near Denver Monday night.

Firefighters said that a resident of the home was trying to fry a turkey on his deck but the fryer was placed less than a foot away from the home. Flames quickly leapt from the fryer to the siding and to the inside of the home.

No injuries were reported but six people were displaced. Damage to the home is estimated at more than $150,000.

Lives endangered as carriage ponies bolt

A weekend parade in Petaluma California went woefully wrong over the weekend when a couple of ponies pulling a carriage crashed and stampeded from the scene, dragging a woman down the street.

A 7-year-old girl was snached from the carriage by a motorcycle patrolman just moments before the vehicle crashed into a parked car.

After putting the girl in the care of a spectator, he got back on his motorcycle and chased the ponies around City Hall before nabbing them.

Fatter behinds require longer needles

A study by researchers from The Adelaide and Meath Hospital in Dublin Ireland showed that two-thirds of the patients in the study did not receive the full dosage of the drug.

Instead, the drug lodged in the fat tissue of their buttocks showing that fatter rear ends are causing many drug injections to miss their mark, requiring longer needles.

Standard-sized needles failed to reach the buttock muscle in 23 out of 25 women whose rears were examined after what was supposed to be an intramuscular injection of a drug.
