Legendary CBS journalist Mike Wallace died April 7 at an assisted living facility in New Canaan, Connecticut. He was 93.
Mike Wallace was known for his adversarial interviewing style as a 60 Minutes correspondent.
Advertisements for the CBS newsmagazine show 60 Minutes once boasted that for anyone hiding a secret, four of the most dreaded words in the English language were “Mike Wallace is here.”
The Fox TV News photo above shows "Fox News Sunday" host Chris Wallace, left, pointing at his father, Mike Wallace, a CBS "60 Minutes" correspondent. The photo was taken in 2005.
The report at the link below says Mike Wallace helped invent magazine-style television, merging elements of news and entertainment in a powerful and profitable way keeping CBS the most formidable of network-news providers and 60 Minutes one of the most popular news programs.
