Looks like a 50-year-old photo taken in middle-America showing a 1956 Buick convertible, followed by an Oldsmobile convertible of about the same vintage, out for a Sunday afternoon drive.
Actually, the photo was taken this year in Havana, Cuba.
Cars were no longer shipped from the United States to Cuba after the 1960 embargo.
The streets of Havana are dominated by pre-1960 American vehicles called “yank tanks.” Most are well maintained and are low-mileage because Cuba is a small country with few roads and most cars don’t venture far from home.
The main island of Cuba is only 760 miles from east to west at widest point and a maximum of 55 miles north to south.
