A warning has been circulating by e-mail since at least 2008 about free key-rings handed out containing tracking devices to track the movements of potential victims.
The warning e-mails were supposedly revived again in 2010, 2012 and again in January of this year.
These warnings are attributed to various law enforcement agencies. Some claimed to have been alerts by County Sheriff’s offices and one by a Constable.
The e-mails are no more accurate than 95% of the other bogus warning messages that are circulating around the Internet.
Have you been offered free key-chains? Didn’t think so. If you are, you could always decline just to be safe.
