On Sunday Senator Schumer (pictured) released a letter he sent to major gun retailers asking for a voluntary moratorium on gunsales.
The New York Democrat says consumer demand for guns has gone up in the weeks since the December mass shooting in Newtown, Connecticut.
Schumer says Congress is debating the issue, and if measures get passed that limit weapons sales, it won’t help if more of them have have gone into the hands of buyers.
Good luck with that Mr. Schumer! Your letter will fuel even more sales in anticipation of a gun ban.
