World class skiing, dining and up-scale shopping for the rich and famous comes to mind when one thinks of Aspen, Colorado.
Aspen is not a place where you would expect complaints of stinky, smelly odors.
The smell has been coming from the Aspen waste water plant and has the sanitation district concerned.
Neighbors usually call around Christmas and New Year’s when the town is full of people and the plant is working at capacity.
If a solution isn’t found Aspen may soon be known for the smell rather than the skiing, dining and up-scale shopping.
So far the odor is not near the swanky shops, restaurants and resorts but news of the stench may prompt visitors to book ski accommodations elsewhere.
