Commission on Presidential Debates co-chairman Frank Fahrenkopf said in a Las Vegas speech,
“We made one mistake this time: Her name is Candy.”
Crowley received criticism from conservatives while moderating the second presidential debate, in which she interrupted Mitt Romney to claim that President Obama had called the September 11 attacks in Benghazi “an act of terror.”
While both campaigns had agreed that the moderator would refrain from asking questions or participating in the town-hall debate, Politico’s Dylan Byers reported that “Crowley had promised to defy that agreement even before the debate started.”
Candy Crowley is a partisan liberal working for the partisan liberal cable news channel CNN.
Who can forget the CNN reports from the Bush ranch in Texas in 2000 as America waited for Democrats in Florida to do recount after recount in hopes of finding Gore votes among the hanging chads?
CNN had Candy Crowley, looking frumpier than ever with an unattractive ranch shed in the background, reporting on the election.
The “ Candy Crowley was a mistake” report is here.
