Hagel on Iran:
Defense secretary nominee Chuck Hagel (pictured) stated Iran has an “elected, legitimate government” in response to why he would consider negotiations with Iran in light of its terrorist connections.
Hagel didn’t know why Iran was hoping for his nomination as defense secretary.
Hagel on Israel:
Senator Hagel had previously said Israel is a cancerous tumor in the heart of the Islamic world.
It is evident that Hagel was chosen to be Secretary of Defense because he shares the Barack Obama view of the middle east which is not pro-Israel and tends to be pro-Iran.
