White House threatens veteran liberal reporter

On the same day Bob Woodward (pictured) continued to slam President Barack Obama over the looming forced cuts, kown as the sequester, he was threatened by the White House.

Woodward said “it makes me very uncomfortable to have the White House telling reporters, You're going to regret doing something that you believe in.”

Bob Woodward is a left-leaning investigative journalist, who along with Carl Bernstein, broke the Watergate scandal in the 1970’s which lead to Nixon's resigation from the presidency.

CNN host Wolf Blitzer said that the network invited a White House official to debate Woodward on-air, but the White House declined.

The White House had to decline. There is no defense for threatening a journalist.
