A 20-year-old New York University student has invented a magic gel that he says can stop even heavy bleeding — an invention that could make routine bandages obsolete.
Joe Landolina, 20, an Ulster County native and NYU junior, says his Veti-Gel almost instantly closes and begins healing even major wounds to internal organs and key arteries.
This could be a real boon to medical first responders and surgeons but how long will it be buried in FDA testing before approval and will it ever be approved?
A report at the second link below suggests that if aspirin were presented to the FDA for the first time today, it most assuredly would have been denied approval.
