Washington D.C. Mayor Vincent Gray (pictured) said today, “As I look at, for example, sequestration, which is about saving money in the federal government being spent, have we somehow skimped on what would be available for projects like this and then we put people at risk.”
“It really is hard to believe that someone with a record as checkered as this man could get credentials to be able to get on the base,” Mr. Gray said.
Of course Mayor Gray would fault the sequester. He got a lot more financial help from the Obama administration before sequester.
It is disrespectful to the 13 Americans who lost their lives in the shooting to use such a tragedy to decry his reduction of federal funds as a result of the sequester.
Why is it that Democrat leaders often politicize a tragedy?
