The National Park Service director, Jonathan B. Jarvis (pictured), told Congress on Wednesday that he had to shut down the open-air memorials on the Mall during the government shutdown because of terrorism, saying that closing them was the only way to protect them “in a post-9/11 world.”
Are we to believe the unnecessary annoyances and hardships brought on Americans by the park service were prompted by terrorism threats?
The Occupy Wall Street protestors were treated better than the Park Service treated Americans, including our nation’s veterans, as they were trying to visit our national parks and memorials .
Show us the intelligent American who believes that and we’ll show you the eighth wonder of the world.
Actually, the words of the Park Service director may not have been his own. The Obama administration may have given him his scripted alibi?
