Beleaguered Lara Logan, along with her producer, Max McClellan, have been on leave from CBS since November as a result of a 60 Minutes report on Benghazi, Libya.
The Oct. 27 report that sent them packing included claims by a former security contractor in Benghazi named Dylan Davies. Some questioned whether she should have known of his supposed contradictory statements before the broadcast.
Then here comes the disgraced former CBS news anchor Dan Rather riding in on his white horse--make that a lumbering Clydesdale--saying Lara Logan should not be fired from the same network that fired him for his “fake but accurate” report about George W. Bush during the September 8, 2004 presidential election.
