Report: fiscal cliff deal repeals part of ObamaCare

Tucked inside the "fiscal cliff" deal is a provision repealing the CLASS Act, a giant unfunded mandate that was part of President Obama's health care law.

The CommunityLiving Assistance Services and Supports program was a priority of the late Sen. Edward M. Kennedy (pictured), Massachusetts Democrat, and was designed to create a program for long-term care for the functionally disabled.

Obama halted the program, saying he couldn't find a way to make it cost-effective.

When Republicans tried to repeal it outright, he objected because he wanted to keep it on the books and try to amend it later rather than kill it.

Obama did an about-face this week, accepting repeal in exchange for raising taxrates on the wealthiest thereby repealing a part of ObamaCare.

What does it tell you when a new group founded to clamp down on gun-ownership rights announces its formation by trotting out the celebrity victim of a crazed gunman?

It means the group does not really wish to have a serious and open discussion about the complex and troubling factors that have led to the explosions of mass violence we have seen in recent years committed by increasingly unstable, psychopathic outcasts.

Instead, the group would prefer to turn to its frail and lovely celebrity, point to the bullet wound on her head and attempt to seize the moral authority for disarming citizens and stripping them of their constitutional rights.

Many Wendy's and Taco Bell stores may Cut hours to avoid ObamaCare fines

One provision in ObamaCare is a plan to fine businesses with over 50 employees that don't provide health insurance to their workers $2,000 per full-time worker.

In anticipation of this egregious fine they plan to cut workers' hours to below 30 hours per week to avoid the fine.

According to the report at the link below many Wendy's and Taco Bell franchisees are planning to do just that.

Poll: root canals and colonoscopies more popular than congress

A new poll finds the national favorability of Congress has again slipped into single digits, with American's elected officials now polling lower than painful medical procedures such as root canals and colonoscopies.

The survey showed Congress with a mere 9 percent favorability rating. By contrast, 85 percent of voters see legislators in a negative way.

Other widely disliked professions also rank well above being a member of Congress.

Used car salesmen are favored 57-32 percent over members, while NFL replacement referees earn a 56-29 percent favorability and carnival workers win 39-31 percent.

Canadian rock (grunge) band Nickleback -- the punchline of many a joke -- also beat out Congress, earning a 39-32 percent advantage.

Report: Muslim Brotherhood infiltrates Obama administration

An Egyptian magazine claims that six American Islamist activists who work with the Obama administration are Muslim Brotherhood operatives who enjoy strong influence over U.S. policy.

Egypt's Rose El-Youssef magazine suggests the six turned the White House "from a position hostile to Islamic groups and organizations in the world to the largest and most important supporter of the Muslim Brotherhood."

This should be no surprise to anyone who has been studying President Barack Hussein Obama’s background and basic philosophies.

In his autobiography, "Dreams of My Father", Mr. Obama said, “I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.”
