The long-delayed Keystone XL oil pipeline cleared a major hurdle Friday as the State Department raised no major environmental objections to the controversial pipeline from Canada through the heart of the U.S.
Republicans and some oil- and gas-producing states cheered, but the report further rankled environmentalists already at odds with President Barack Obama.
Obama is afraid to buck environmentalists because of their votes and donations.
Now that the enviro-weenies seem to be getting on board will the Keystone XL pipeline finally become a reality?
If Obama still nixes the pipeline it may be because he does not want want to send less oil money to his friends the Mid-East.
