Veteran Democratic strategist James Carville has been hired as a Fox News contributor.
Carville is show above with his wife, Republican strategist Mary Matalin. There is an article about the politically opposite married couple at the second link below.
The former Bill Clinton adviser will join the network to provide political commentary. Unlike other “opposing view” voices on Fox like Juan Williams and Alan Colmes, Carville will provide intelligent commentary without whining or pushing back defensively.
Bill Shine, executive vice president of programming, said, "James' successful and storied career in politics over several decades is an enormous asset to Fox News. We are privileged to have him lend his breadth of experience, wit and dynamic perspective on the network."
James Carville helped lead Bill Clinton's successful 1992 presidential campaign and continued to serve as a senior political adviser in the Clinton White House.
A native of Carville, Louisiana, a town named after his grandfather, he is currently a political science professor at Tulane University and has written several books.
