Donald Sterling (pictured), owner of the LA Clippers basketball team, has been banned for life from the NBA and was fined $2.5 Million by NBA commissioner Adam Silver. The commissioner will also pressure the 80-year-old Sterling to sell the Clippers.
This came about after an investigation that began as a result of a TMZ posted audio featuring incendiary racial comments by Clippers owner Donald Sterling.
It is interesting to learn that Mr. Sterling has a long history of racial bigotry including racial prejudice in his treatment of tenants in his many apartment rentals. So why was the Los Angeles NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) scheduled to award Mr. Sterling for a lifetime body of work?
Needless to say the Los Angeles NAACP has egg on it’s face.
