Google has been accused of violating federal wiretap laws when its Street View vehicles (pictured) collected more than just photos.
The U.S. Supreme Court has declined to hear a case in which Google is accused of violating federal wiretap laws when its Street View vehicles collected unsecured data over Wi-Fi networks.
At issue is equipment attached to Google's Street View vehicles meant to collect 360-degree mapping images. But the technology also gathered data from unencrypted wireless networks between 2007 and 2010.
