A Chinese businessman spent $500,000 in an auction to win lunch for two with Bill and Hillary Clinton at a charity auction benefiting the Clinton Foundation. But when the winner asked to bring his two kids along, he was told he’d have to double his bid to $1 million.
The Clintons (above) haven’t changed a bit since they sold the use of the Lincoln bedroom when they were in the White House.
The estimated value of the auction lot to spend “45 minutes to 1 hour” with the Clintons was $250,000.
If the $500,000 winner of the May 29 auction even gets a full hour with the Clintons, that’s $8,333.33 per minute. But at least they will be allowed to take “a photo.”
A scathing New York Times piece last summer criticized the Clinton Foundation, saying, “For all of its successes, [it] had become a sprawling concern, supervised by a rotating board of old Clinton hands, threatened by conflicts of interest.”
Insn't the Clinton Foundation really just a tax dodge (and a moneymaker) for the Clintons?.
