As reported at the link below:
The biggest name in the Democratic Party plans to speak Wednesday at Denver´s Cheesman Park, but President Barack Obama won´t be sharing the stage with three Colorado Democrats now in the fight of their political careers.
Missing from the morning event, which is closed to the public but open to the media, will be U.S. Senator Mark Udall (upper photo), Governor John Hickenlooper (lower photo) and Andrew Romanoff, the former state House speaker now running for a seat in Congress.
Prior commitments is always a convenient excuse. The real reason is they just don’t want to be seen with a president tanking in the polls when their own political future is at stake.
Governor Hickenlooper is trying to live down his gun control legislation in a hunting state and Senator Udall is trying to live down his ObamaCare and anti-fracking votes. Associating with a failing president could be the political end for both of them.
