The Seattle Seahawks ended their nine-game preseason win-streak Thursday night as they lost to the Denver Brocos 21-16.
One of the biggest stories of the night was the weather as the game was delayed for 45-minutes in the 1st quarter because of lightning strikes in the Denver area.
It wasn’t a Super Bowl rematch. It was like most preseason games with guys fighting for a spot on the final 53-man roster.
As a result of new rule changes, the game was called really tight. The officials wore out their arms throwing penalty flags.
Photo shows Bronco quarterback Peyton Manning reacting to one of the 25 penalties called during the game.
The game was filled with penalties on both sides with one Seahawk player ejected from the game for striking a Bronco player.
By the end of the game, Seattle had 13 penalties for 131 yards and Denver had 12 for 95 yards.
Players need to be allowed to ‘play the game.’ If penalties are called this tight during the regular season games will become boring with officials deciding the outcome of each contest.
