Twenty years after the Northridge earthquake, experts say a huge temblor across Southern California today could cripple cellphone and Wi-Fi Internet service.

Seismic safety officials increasingly have been studying how telecommunications would be affected after a quake even bigger than Northridge and expressed concerns it would make communications difficult for days or longer.
Like water and gas lines, most Southern California Internet lines run across the San Andreas Fault, and officials fear the Big One could cut off service.
As more and more evidence discredits global warming, resistance to these facts by green elites reveals their real aim is bringing socialism in through the back door.
It started as Global Cooling in the mid 70s with a predicted ice age to arrive at the end of the 20th century.
We are now well into the 21st century and now the green zealot’s, led by far-left socialist-leaning politicians, are demanding big changes to “save the planet.”
Now that it is evident that the planet is not warming, they have changed their mantra from Global Warming to Climate Change.
An article at the link below directs us to the climate change boss at the UN:
Christiana Figueres, with the lumpy title of executive secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), came right out and said it: Democracy is a poor political system for fighting global warming. The really good model is communist China.
China is "doing it right," she told Bloomberg News. "They actually want to breathe air they don't have to look at," she said with a straight face.
For her information, China has breathed air it can see for decades under its command economy.
On the same day Christian Figueres was praising China's top-down political system and denigrating democracies, China's capital, Beijing, was engulfed in a massive smog cloud that prompted authorities to order children, the sick and the elderly to stay inside.
Some airports in China are closed on high smog days.
Communist China has had one pollution crisis after another for decades. It's also the home to black rivers, polluted groundwater, destroyed lakes and some of the world's worst food standards — all fruits of a command economy where the public has no right to complain about anything because government knows best.
Polluted environments are hallmarks of socialist regimes. Besides polluted China, look at the Soviet Union, Cuba and Venezuela for starters.
The ‘global warmists’ aren´t really about cleaning up the environment. It’s all about controlling people.
Recently, former Secretary of Defense Robert Gates wrote in his memoir that Vice President Joe Biden isn't really an expert on anything, especially on foreign policy. Gates noted that Biden has been wrong on every foreign policy decision for the past four decades.
So, what do Americans really think about Joe Biden?
Cybersecurity researchers: HealthCare.gov is still riddled with problems that could put consumers' sensitive health details at risk.
“The reason we’re concluding that this is so shockingly bad is that the issues across the site are so varied,” David Kennedy, founder of the information security firm TrustedSec, told NBC News. “You don’t even have to hack into the system to see big issues – which means there are major problems underneath.”
“Nothing’s really changed since our November 19 testimony,” Kennedy said during the hearing. “In fact, it’s worse.”
