President Donald Trump is in "excellent" health and passed a cognitive screening exam taken at his own request with flying colors, White House physician Rear Adm. Dr. Ronny Jackson told reporters Tuesday.
In reporting the results of Trump's physical examination completed last week, Jackson said Trump scored a perfect 30 out of 30 on the Montreal Cognitive Assessment, a result he said precluded the need for further testing of the president's mental function.
"I've spent almost every day with the president," Jackson said. "I've had absolutely no concerns about his cognitive ability."
He noted that he did not initially plan to screen Trump for cognitive impairment but completed the 10-minute exam as part of the president's overall physical at Trump's request.
"The president is mentally very sharp, very intact," Jackson said.
