WData released following the AFC and NFC Championship games reveals only one state outside of the New England area will be rooting for the Patriots in the upcoming Super Bowl. That state is North Dakota.
The data was compiled and mapped by popular online sports gambling site betonline.ag, which used its software to collect over 500,000 geotagged Twitter data. A geotag refers to an electronic tag that assigns a geographical location to a photograph or video, or a posting on social media.
The data concluded that five out of 50 states will be cheering for the Patriots to beat the Eagles in Super Bowl 52 in Minneapolis on Feb. 4. Those states are Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, and, of course, North Dakota.
