An article at the link below says:
Edward Kennedy (pictured) has signed a multimillion-dollar deal for his memoirs, triggering speculation that both his frontline political role – and that of his iconic, tragic family – may be finally coming to an end.
The book is expected to cover the assassinations of his brothers, John and Robert, as well as other episodes that have punctuated his family history and held much of America in its thrall for half a century – including events leading up to Chappaquiddick where his car crashed off a bridge in 1969, killing his passenger Mary Jo Kopechne.
Senator Kennedy, who admitted leaving the scene of an accident and was given a two-month suspended jail sentence, never fully recovered from the incident which contributed to the failure of his own White House bid in 1980.
That may sum up the basic content of the book: (1) Brother John was assassinated. (2) Brother Robert was assassinated. (3) Mary Jo Kopechne died a mysterious death at Chappaquiddick.
Can Ted Kennedy’s fortune be dwindling to the point where he needs the money?
