To hear Democrats talk about the passage of ObamaCare, one would think it was passed by politicians voting the will of their constituents back home in their districts.
Never mind that Senator Ben Nelson of Nebraska was promised the "Cornhusker kickback" to secure his crucial vote promising that the Federal Government would pay the full price of expanded Medicaid coverage in Nebraska - forever as reported in the first link below.
Never mind that Senator Mary L. Landrieu sold her vote in the “Louisiana Purchase” for $300,000,000.00 that will flood into her state through added benefits in the ObamaCare bill as reported in the second link below.
Never mind that Congressman Jim Matheson of Utah was bribed by suddenly nominating his brother Scott M. Matheson, Jr. to the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit as a judge as reported in the third link below.
And how can we forget the sneaky Bart Stupak bribe? Congressman Bart Stupak, who chose not to seek re-election, represented Michigan's 1st district in the northern part of the state.
The Stupak bribe was made public in a stealthy press release from Stupak's own office announcing a US Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration grant in the value of $726,409 for three airports in northern Michigan with the money going to maintenance and improvements.
How many other back-room deals were made to get enough ObamaCare votes may never be known.
