The photo brings back memories of when I operated a telegraph key as a very young S/Sergeant while stationed at the 40th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Brigade, Camp Moore, Yokohama, Japan.
The former Camp Moore was a very small Army post that housed the headquarters for an Anti-Aircraft Artillery Brigade.
The Brigade had Anti-Aircraft Batteries at strategic points along the coastline of Japan to protect the country during its vulnerable years after World War II.
I was Chief Radio Operator at Brigade headquarters during the last year of my military service.
As a proud veteran, it is an honor and a privilege to salute everyone who served in the United States Military on this Veterans Day.
