Is the Vanderhall an automobile or a motorcycle?

This motor vehicle appears to combine the automobile and motorcycle. Some say it’s neither while others say it’s both. Others look the other way and say it’s a backasswards looking nondescript three-wheeler - with the single wheel in the rear.
