Biden says a black guy invented the light bulb not a white guy named Edison

In a bid to woo the African American voters ahead of the US presidential elections, Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden raised eyebrows saying that a black man invented the light bulb and not a “white man” named Edison.

Speaking at Grace Lutheran Church said, “we don’t teach history in history classes.”

“People fear that’s, which, that which is different. We gotta, for example, why in God’s name don’t we teach history in history classes? A black guy invented the light bulb, not a white guy named Edison,” he said.

All Maryland Businesses to Reopen on Friday

Maryland’s Republican Governor Larry Hogan will give businesses in Maryland the green light to reopen on Friday with some capacity restrictions, as the state moves into the third phase of reopening.

The order will include movie theaters and indoor concert venues, which will be allowed to reopen at 50% capacity or 100 people, whichever is lower.

Outdoor venues can allow up to 200 people and places of worship will be able to open at 75%.

"Moving into stage three does not mean this crisis is behind us, and we must remain vigilant so we can keep Maryland open for business," Hogan said.

The Goliath tracked mine used by Nazi’s in WW2

The Nazi’s used traced mines that looked like mini tanks. They were only 1ft tall and 4ft tong.

The SdKfz 302 – or Sonderkrafahzeug (special-purpose vehicle) at first went by the name of Leichter Ladungsträger (light charge carrier), later simply called Goliath.

The device was steered remotely using a joystick control box attached to the rear of the Goliath by three strands of cable. Two of the strands accelerated and maneuvered the Goliath, while the third was used to trigger the detonation.

Each Goliath had to be disposable, as each was built specifically to be blown up along with an enemy target.

The first models were powered by an electric motor, but these proved difficult to repair on the battlefield. Later models used a simpler, more reliable gasoline engine.

A number of Goliaths survived the war, and are preserved at various museums around the world.
