The Paris Climate Agreement was doomed even before the United States’ withdrawal

The Paris climate agreement is a bad deal for America, costing jobs in the United States and putting the country at a competitive disadvantage with our international competitors. By finalizing this starting process on November 4 of this year, President Trump kept his campaign promise to put America first.

“It is time to put Youngstown, Ohio, Detroit, Michigan, and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, along with many, many other locations within our great country before Paris, France,” Trump said at a 2017 Rose Garden event, which initially announced the intention to withdraw.

For America’s sovereignty and continued economic success, Trump’s decision to withdraw the United States from the Paris climate agreement is among the most consequential actions he has taken since being elected president.

But for the success of the Paris agreement itself, it is, as a practical matter, almost inconsequential, since the agreement was already well down the road to failure before the Trump administration made America’s withdrawal official.

Nancy Pelosi thinks she is the U.S. President as she assures other countries we are still in Paris agreement despite Trumps decision to pull out

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi sought to assure nations at the U.N. conference in Madrid today that the U.S. would join its efforts to fight climate change despite President Donald Trump's move to pull the U.S. out the Paris agreement.

"By coming here we want to say to everyone, we’re still in," Pelosi said at a press conference in Madrid. "The United States is still in."

Last month, Trump made official his decision to withdraw the U.S. from the Paris climate pact by setting in motion a year-long process for withdrawal that will be completed the day after the 2020 U.S. elections.

Cities are banning natural gas in homes to save the planet

Fix global warming or cook dinner on a gas stove.

That’s the choice for people in 13 cities and one county in California that have enacted new zoning codes encouraging or requiring all-electric new construction.

The codes, most of them passed since June, are meant to keep builders from running natural gas lines to new homes and apartments, with an eye toward creating fewer legacy gas hookups as the nation shifts to carbon-neutral energy sources.

For proponents, it’s a change that must be made to fight climate change. For natural gas companies, it’s a threat to their existence. And for some cooks who love to prepare food with flame, it’s an unthinkable loss.

In many areas this could mean using electric energy from coal fired power plants. Maybe the enviro weenies will eventually having us doing campfire cooking.

Maybe they will soon want us to cook on hibachi’s fired by rabbit poop?

Report: It’s not climate change to blame for California’s fires and blackouts. It’s Democrats

Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom and his political allies claim climate change is driving California’s increasingly intense and deadly wildfires.

That’s nearly true. Climate change assumptions drive the state’s energy and environmental policies. This has resulted in people being killed in terrible wildfires, electrical blackouts to millions of people causing $5 billion so far in lost economic activity, all while diverting limited resources to a fool’s errand.

For instance, California’s large and heavily regulated public utilities—PG&E, SDG&E, and SCE—prioritize wind and solar power, leaving little for powerline maintenance and upgrades. Simply put, the utilities are doing exactly what the regulators tell them to do. They make money for their investors on wind and solar; they don’t on powerline maintenance.

Examining California’s determined push to decarbonize its economy shows a policy unsupported by logic, and shaky on fact.

Below is a a one minute Ice Age Scare video narrated by Leonard Nimoy in 1979 when ‘global cooling’ fit the liberal scientific narrative.

Nimoy, who was Star Trek’s Mr. Spock, was hired by climate alamists to do the video 69 years ago.

They have long since stopped trying to scare us with global cooling. Now it’s non-stop global warming.
